Update Ati Catalyst Drivers

Update ATI Catalyst Drivers

ATI video cards require specific device drivers called "Catalyst" to function properly. ATI (the company that manufactures ATI video cards) updates its database of Catalyst display drivers on a constant basis, so you should make it a habit to update your computer with the latest ATI Catalyst display drivers regularly. You can use the Device Manager console in Windows Vista and Windows 7 to update the Catalyst display drivers for your ATI video card.

Instructions

1. Connect to the Internet.

2. Click "Start," type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotes) and press "Enter" to open up the Device Manager.

3. Click the ">" sign next to the option labeled "Display Adapters."

4. Right-click the name of the ATI video card that you want to update the drivers for and select the option labeled "Update Driver Software" on the drop-down menu.

5. Click the option labeled "Search automatically for updated driver software" to update the Catalyst drivers for your ATI video card.
