Install Audio On My Toshiba Pc

A computer speaker system.

Without an installed audio device your Toshiba PC isn't able to bring nearly as many capabilities to your computing experience. A speaker system transforms your computer from a word processing or web browsing system into a full-blown entertainment center. Installing an audio system onto your Toshiba PC is a simple and quick process that only requires attaching a few cables and installing a software driver. Once the speakers are installed you can then enjoy the sound from your music, movies or computer games.

Instructions

1. Check the length of the cables connected to your speakers. Arrange your speaker system on your desk and make sure there is enough room for the cables to reach the ports on the back of the Toshiba PC.

2. Set the subwoofer underneath your desk if your speaker system came with one. Connect the cables from each satellite speaker into the ports on the back of the subwoofer.

3. Connect the cables from the speakers directly into the sound card port on the back of the computer if you are not using a subwoofer. Connect the three color-coded cables from the subwoofer to the corresponding color-coded ports on the Toshiba PC's sound card.

4. Connect the subwoofer's AC adapter into a wall outlet or instead connect the AC adapter directly from the speakers to a wall outlet if you aren't using a subwoofer.

5. Insert the driver installation disk that came with the speaker system into your Toshiba PC's disk drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software drivers for the speakers.

6. Open the Start menu and click "Control Panel" if you don't have the installation disk. Double-click "Device Manager" and scroll down to "Sound, Game, and Video Controllers" heading.

7. Right-click the name of your speaker system and choose "Update Drivers." Click "OK" to download the latest software driver for the speaker system.
