Install Music Sound Systems

You can set up your very own music sound system.

Music sound systems come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, although all have some similar attributes. For one, the audio equipment has a receiver and there are at least two different speakers present. This allows you to hear the stereo sound of your music. If you have never set up your own music sound system, you are going to find it is rather straightforward and typically only takes a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Place the music sound system receiver in an easily accessible location. This allows you to adjust the volume and other controls on the device.

2. Position the speakers. Typically, when using a stereo setup, one speaker goes on either side of the stereo receiver. When using a 5.1 surround sound music system you typically have two speakers in the front, one in the middle of the room and two in the back of the room.

3. Run the wires from the speakers to the back of the receiver.

4. Insert the wires from the speakers into the designated speaker ports. A stereo setup has a "Left" and "Right" connection port. Plug the wires from the right side into the right connection port and the left side into the left connection port. When using a 5.1 surround sound system you follow the same principle. The front left speaker goes into the "Front Left" port and the rear right speaker goes into the "Rear Right" port. The center (or middle) speaker would go into the port marked "Center" or "Middle."
