Install A Sound Device On An Abit Lg95z

The Abit LG-95Z is a computer motherboard for Intel LGA775 processors. The motherboard has a built-in audio chip designed by Realtek, supporting surround sound output for up to seven satellite speakers and one subwoofer. To hear audio from the Abit LG-95Z, you must install device driver software from Abit on the computer. If you have built a computer using this motherboard or recently reinstalled Windows and are unable to hear audio from your computer, it's most likely because the drivers for the LG-95Z sound device are not installed. You can remedy this by obtaining the drivers from the Abit website.

Instructions

1. Click the "Internet Explorer" icon on your task bar. Navigate to the Abit support page for LG-95Z drivers and downloads (see Resource). Scroll to the "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver" section at the bottom of the window and click the download link for the geographical region closest to you. Save the file to the desktop.

2. Right-click the "r190.zip" file and click "Extract" or "Extract All" to extract the file to your desktop.

3. Double-click the program "setup.exe." The Realtek audio driver setup window appears.

4. Click "Next." The setup wizard installs the Realtek driver software for the LG-95Z motherboard and displays a prompt when the process is complete.

5. Click "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and then click the "Finish" button. When the computer finishes restarting, the LG-95Z sound device will be functional.
