Install Dimms In A Foxconn Nf4uk8aa8ekrs

Add memory to a Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS.

Adding memory to your computer system is the easiest and quickest method of increasing the computer's overall speed and performance. The Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS motherboard uses Double Data Rate (DDR) version 1 memory modules. The NF4UK8AA-8EKRS can accept 266, 333 or 400 MHz standard modules in sizes up to 1 gigabyte each, for a total capacity of up to 4 gigabytes. DDR memory modules are installed independently and do not require capacity matching.

Instructions

1. Power off and unplug the computer from the electrical outlet.

2. Discharge the static electricity from your body by touching something metal.

3. Remove the side cover of the computer case. Some cases use Phillips screws, while others use a lever on the computer case.

4. Locate the DIMM slots on the motherboard. These are normally located in the upper-right corner.

5. Gently push the plastic DIMM retainers open at the edges of the slot.

6. Gently insert the DIMM module into the DIMM slot. DIMM slots are notched so that the memory only fits in a single direction.

7. Carefully press the DIMM module down into the slot until the plastic retainers lock the DIMM into place.

8. Replace the side cover of the computer case and power on the computer.
