Motherboards That Support 3 3v Agp

Several motherboards support AGP 1x and 2x (3.3v) cards.

The AGP or Advanced Graphics Port slot was created by Intel in 1997 in order to provide a solution to the bottleneck that was caused when PCI graphics cards were used to provide graphics control for computers. The cards were created especially for graphics and originally ran at 3.3v in what later became known as AGP 1x. AGP 2x is also based on 3.3v; however later versions of AGP, such as 4x or 8x are not -- they use 1.5v and are incompatible with 1x/2x AGP. As of October 2010, no major manufacturer makes motherboards supporting 1x/2x AGP; however, several motherboards are available on the used or secondhand market that do support it.

Shuttle AK35GTR

The Shuttle AK35GTR motherboard offers support for 3.3v 1x/2x AGP cards. It also features the Via KT133 chipset (the brains of the motherboard) and a "Socket A" to support AMD Duron, Athlon and Athlon XP chips. The motherboard has four DIMM memory slots supporting up to 4 GB of RAM. For expansion, in addition to the aforementioned AGP slot, which supports 1x, 2x and 4x AGP cards running at either 1.5v or 3.3v, there are six PCI slots. The motherboard also features built-in audio. The bios is the Award PnP (Plug 'n Play) bios. As of October 2010, the motherboard is no longer being manufactured, though it is sometimes sold on the used and refurbished market.

AOPen AX45-V

This motherboard features the SiS 645 chipset and a Pentium 4 478-pin socket. The motherboard offers three DIMM slots. The AGP slot on this motherboard supports 1x and 2x AGP requiring 3.3v of power. The motherboard offers LAN support built in to the motherboard and built-in audio support, as well. The board features two PATA slots that can support up to four PATA devices, such as CD/DVD players and hard drives. It comes with two built-in USB ports and supports up to four additional USB ports on the computer case, though the support is limited to USB 1.1. As of October 2010, the motherboard is no longer being manufactured, though it is sometimes sold on the used and refurbished market.

Abit VP6

The Abit VP6 motherboard supports two Pentium III CPUs in a pair of 370-pin CPU sockets. The motherboard comes with the Via VT82C694X chipset and offers support for 1x, 2x and 4x AGP cards running at 3.3v. The motherboard supports Ultra DMA 100 hard drives and offers support for RAID 0 and RAID 1, allowing you to create a "spanned" hard drive between two hard drives or to mirror one hard drive onto another. The motherboard supports up to 2 GB of RAM in four DIMM slots. The BIOS is based on the Award Plug and Play BIOS. There are two PATA connectors supporting up to four PATA devices, such as hard drives and CD/DVD players and two USB connectors. In addition, the motherboard will support up to two additional USB ports on the computer case. As of October 2010, the motherboard is no longer being manufactured, though it is sometimes sold on the used and refurbished market.
