Set The Fsb To 533mhz Or 800mhz

FSB abbreviates the Front Side Bus of the computer motherboard. The FSB frequency corresponds to the speed at which the processor (CPU) communicates with the motherboard chip. Increasing the FSB frequency to 533 MHz, for example, proportionally increases the processor speed, and is the most common approach to overclock your computer. Use Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) settings to set the FSB frequency to 533MHz or 800 MHz.

Instructions

1. Restart your computer.

2. Look for the message on the screen such as "Press to enter SETUP" - "Press DEL to enter SETUP," for example. Then immediately press that key on the keyboard to open the BIOS menu.

3. Navigate to the BIOS menu, typically called "Advanced Tweaking" or "Overclocking," with the arrow keys and press "Enter."

4. Highlight the option "FSB Frequency" and press "Enter."

5. Type in a new value --- 533 or 800 --- to set the FSB frequency.

6. Press the "F10" key on the keyboard to save the changes in BIOS and exit the setup. Your machine will automatically continue to boot.
