Unhide The Bios Acc Function

Computer BIOS menus are put in place to give users the ability to change computer settings before booting into their operating systems. This is useful if your computer crashes and you cannot gain access to the operating system. It also is useful for trying out performance-based settings changes like the ACC function on AMD-powered computers. The ACC function allows you to unlock processors from their set speeds to boost computer performance. This should only be done by people who know what they are doing, as even the slightest overclock of a processor chip can fry it. This is why AMD hides this function. However, there is a way to unhide certain settings in the BIOS menu.

Instructions

1. Turn off your ASUS computer by either holding in the physical "Power" button or clicking the "Start" button on the taskbar and selecting "Shut down."

2. Hold the "CTRL" key in on the keyboard and push the "Power" button on the computer to turn it back on. Immediately press the "F1" key continuously until the BIOS menu appears.

3. Navigate to the "Performance" or "Memory" section of the ASUS BIOS menu and change the "ACC Function" settings.

4. Press the "ESC" key to exit the BIOS menu and reboot the computer.
