These Ethernet cables are connected to have IP addresses.
IP addresses are present in all devices that can communicate in a network. The IP address of your computer is not actually the computer's very own IP address--it is the motherboard's IP address. Motherboards are components that can connect to networks, such as the Internet. If you have any components that can communicate in a network connected to your computer, you can find their IP address through a simple command.
Instructions
1. Open the "Start" menu and click "Run..." Type "taskmgr.exe" into the "Run..." box and click "OK." This will launch the "Task Manager."
2. Click on "File" in Task Manager and select "New Task." Type "cmd" into the box that appears. This will launch a program called the "Command Prompt."
3. Type "ipconfig.exe" into the Command Prompt screen and hit "Enter." All the devices that can connect to the Internet, as well as their IP addresses, will appear on this screen.
