Flash Onboard Video BIOS on Asus P5KPL-CM With No Video Display

Flashing the onboard video BIOS on your Asus P5KPL-CM motherboard refers to the process of replacing the existing BIOS with a new version. Accomplishing this process in the absence of a video display means that you must proceed with some measure of caution.

Instructions

1. Insert the DOS boot disk into the computer.

2. Restart the computer. Tap "Enter" constantly to boot from disk into DOS.

3. Insert the disk containing your BIOS flash utility and your new video BIOS file.

4. Type "x:biosutil" and press "Enter," replacing "x" with the letter of the drive containing the BIOS utility and "biosutil" with the name of the BIOS utility file.

5. Type "newbios" and press "Enter," replacing "newbios" with the name of the BIOS revision to which you wish to flash.
