Hp Pavilion A345c Specs

Released in 2003, the HP Pavilion a345c is a desktop PC from Hewlett-Packard. Running the Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system, it is one of the entries of the company's flagship "Pavilion" line of personal computers, particularly designed for basic home computing.


Processor, Memory and Drives


Each HP Pavilion a345c comes with an AMD Athlon XP 2800 processor, featuring a 2.08 GHz clock speed and a 333 MHz front-side bus speed. Pre-installed memory is 512 megabytes (MB) PC2700 DDR SDRAM, although you can expand it up to the 1 GB maximum using the available DIMM slot. Also included is a 160 GB hard drive, spinning at 5,400 RPM; a 3.5-inch 1.44-MB floppy disk drive and a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo optical drive.


Audio/Video and Communications


Each HP Pavilion a345c has a motherboard-integrated nVidia GeForce4 MX graphics controller with a maximum of 64 MB shared video memory, as well as an AC97-compliant audio driver. Also included is MPEG2 capability for full-motion digital video playback.


The a345c's audio/video external interfaces include a VGA connector for attaching the computer monitor; a SPDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interconnect Format)-Out connector for Dolby Digital 5.1 support; and line-in, line-out/headphone and microphone jacks. For networking purposes, the desktop has 10/100Base-T Ethernet with three IEEE 1394 ports.


Interfaces


The HP Pavilion a345c has audio/video and networking ports, six USB 2.0 ports, serial and parallel connectors and two PS/2 connectors for hooking up a keyboard and mouse. Also included are a PCI computer bus and an AGP 8x (Accelerated Graphics Port) expansion slot for attaching hardware devices, such as video cards to the computer.
